1967 – born in Rostov-on-Don.
1990 - graduated from the M.B. Grekov Art School, Rostov-on-Don. After that studied Tibetan Painting under the direction of Marianne van der Horst (Holland) and Denzong Norbu (Sikkim).
1999 – 2001-
participated in wall-painting of the Stupa of Enlightments, Elista, Kalmikia
(Russia).
2001 - took part in wall-painting of the temple of Buddhist monastery Dhagpo
Kundreul Ling, Le Bost, France
2001 – graduated from St.Petersburg State University of Culture and Arts.
Elena Elik is member of the ethnology club Paraskeva (Russian Ethnology Museum,
St.Petersburg, Russia), lecturer in the St.Petersburg State University of
Culture and Arts. Her techniques include graphics, lithography, monotypy,
weaving, hand-made paper and others. Between 1986 to 2005 participated in 28 art
exhibitions and actions in Russia and aboard, and during last 6 years curated 30
different projects and exhibitions in St.Petersburg, Russia.
Her works are exhibited in Russian National Library, St.Petersburg; Museum of
Fine Arts, Stavropol; Museum of Modern Art, Santa-Barbara; Kreissparkasse
Gallery, Nordhausen; private collections of Europe, India and USA.
Since 2004 Elena Elik is member of the multimedia group ‘2012’. In 2005 she proposed the idea, organised and curated group's installation "Contact with Micro World" at the Botanical Museum, in which she also participated as an artist and designer.
