1959 – born in Kaliningrad.
1983 - graduated from the Biological Faculty, Kaliningrad State University.
1983-1986 – school teacher in Krylovo, Kaliningrad district.
1987-1988 – senior assistant in the Laboratory of Plant Introduction, Kaliningrad Branch of the Voronezh Forestry Institute. 
Since 1988 –  senior assistant in the Phenological group of the Botanical Museum.

Main fields of interest: phenology of Russia and neighboring countries, climate change.

 Current research:
- Analysis of the long-term sequences of phenological data in relation to the climate changes.
- Phenological characteristics of the regions of Russia and neighboring countries
