Born in 10.05.1964. Worked in the Botanical Museum since 1989. In 1993 graduated from Geographic Faculty of the St.Petersburg State University.

Main fields of interest: plant morphology and anatomy (especially wood anatomy), botanical geography.
Current research:
- Formation of
water-conducting tissues in the dicots from humid (Russian Far East, Sakhalin)
and arid (Central Asia, eastern Caucasus) habitats.
- Comparative wood anatomy of Lonicera L. in relation to its habit diversity.
