Abstract

A new system and a review of a small American genus Graptopetalum Rose are given. A new subgenus — subgen. Glassia V. V. Byalt subgen. nov., 6 new series — ser. Paraguayenses V. V. Byalt ser. nova, ser. Fruticosae V. V. Byalt ser. nova, ser. Pachyphyllae V. V. Byalt ser. nova, ser. Stoloniferae V. V. Byalt ser. nova, ser. Marginatae V. V. Byalt ser. nova, ser. Filiferae V. V. Byalt ser. nova — are described; and 3 new combinations in the genera Graptopetalum and Sedum L. — Graptopetalum bernalense (Kimnach et Moran) V. V. Byalt comb. nova, Sedum mendozae (Glass et Cházaro) V. V. Byalt comb. nova, and S. goldii (Matuda) V. V. Byalt comb. nova — are proposed.
