Annotation
I want to draw the attention of readers of the Jurnal «Vegetation of Russia» on 3 interesting, informative and well designed book, arranged in series. This is a collective monograph summarizing complex studies of the natural environment of small areas on the coast in Northern and southern parts of the Gulf of Finland. Two of the surveyed area (in the area of Luga Bay and in the vicinity of Primorsk town) adjacent to the partially constructed and already functioning at the present time the largest port complexes on the transport of oil and other goods. Third — «Komorowski Coast» — on the contrary, belongs to the especially protected natural territories of St. Petersburg. Among the authors florists, zoologists, geobotany, landscape experts, hydro biologists and oceanographers from various research institutions of St. Petersburg. Organization of field work and editing of publications in all three cases by E. A. Volkova, V. N. Khramtsov (BIN) and G. A. Isachenko (St. Petersburg state University).
