  • Charophyte (Characeae) taxonomy, flora, genetics, ecology, geographical distribution and use as bioindicators.
  • Macroalgae of continental and coastal water bodies.
  • Phytoplankton spatial and temporal heterogeneity, phytoplankton succession, phytoplankton in rehabilitation of water bodies from heavy metal contamination, algae of extreme technogenic habitats.
